During the FURY Challenge tournament players from all around the world competed in Clan or Individual ladders with the ultimate goal of becoming a FURY Challenge Champion.

Winners of FURY Challenge were based solely on performance during the first and second contest weekends (see Key Dates).
FURY Challenge began with a practice weekend on September 14th, followed by some mid-week practice periods. This gave players a chance to familiarize themselves with FURY and get some Avatar development before the real tournament began.
Overall position on the ladders was based upon the 10 Best Performances for Individuals and Clans in the Ladder’s related Battle Type during the tournament. Individuals and Clans were able to participate in any particular Battle Type as many times as they wanted, but only the 10 Best Performances were used to determine their position on the relevant ladder. FURY Challenge prizes were rewarded more for player-skill than time spent playing.
